Why would you even have the nerve to compare them[timothy Mcveigh]?
i dont see how Hasan's attack could come across as more tragic than Tim McVeigh's, objectively. i mean, McVeigh killed 168 civilians, as opposed to Hasan's 13(12 of which were military). Not to diminish the Fort Hood victims, but 13 is a lot less than 168.

Hood...
Exactly. And yet Hassan attempts to switch the subject matter into a discussion about McVeigh. By doing so, he attempts to diminish the atrocities committed at Fort Hood by comparing them to the 1995 bombing. (Notice that he chose McVeigh, a political terrorist and white male, as opposed to 9/11 Islamic terrorists. He could have argued that 9/11 was worse, but did he? No, because then he would be comparing Islamic terror and Islamic terror.) This is nothing new. Whenever I have been in a "discussion" with Hassan regarding Islam, he ALWAYS manages to derail the topic away from Islam. Check out the "Imam" thread - all he gives me are non-answers mixed with condescension. He also resorts to using my name, a real nice touch to the condescension I must say. Didacus
For some reason, the United States panders to Muslims. By calling Hasan out for what he truly is, this would apparently upset the entire Muslim population. Even though Hasan is being singled out, of course, it would still be offensive and seen as an attack against Islam. Islamists on only misunderstood, how dare you criticism them with you racism! Winchester
Maybe entirely disarming soldiers is a bad tactic, while waiting until soldiers are less able to defend themselves is a smart one.

There was no trolling on my part in this thread. Again, you seem to not understand the difference between 'someone disagrees with me' and 'trolling!!!.' In fact, given the revelations about the expansion if the NSA's powers and the liberal use ib the Espianoge act by the Obama administration I am only more convinced that my points here were valid. 4588686
Hey, you know who Maj. Has an was in touch with? Anwar Al-Alwaki. Some here may remember him as the American citizen living in Yemen who was killed by the Obama Administration intentionally and without a trial. What was one of the justifications for Alwaki's assasigbation? That he had been in communication with Maj. Hassan. Abusive and authoritarian states ALWAYS begin their abusive and authoritarian practices by focusing them initially on marginalized groups. Like, for example, Muslims after 9/11. Derp derp derpActually Al-Alawki was the spokesman for Al-Quidea in Yemen, and evidence that he was emailing Mr Hasan is actually used to support that the attack at Ft Hood WAS terror, and not the other way around. This is of course how most people use facts, basing opinions on their logical conclusions, instead of twisting them to support predetermined assumptions.
