Aftermass: Compilation #2

I'm really thinking about this next project and want to get it done pretty quickly. I invision this project to be the thing that really proves to the Church that we're some true blue orthodox Catholics, with a totally Catholic message... I think it's extremely important to establish our orthodoxy with this project as it'll open the door for the solo projects in the future...

One of the problems with Massmatics is that there really wasn't a central theme--it was basically a scramble to get as many songs from as many artists as possible.

Aftermass will be different. I want to have songs that specifically address the following topics:

1. Baptism
2. Penance (one verse by Kiel, one by Damien, one remaining)
3. The Holy Eucharist (taken by Fr Pontifex, Kiel, Miko and Sammy Blaze)
4. Confirmation
5. Holy Orders (taken by Fr Pontifex)
6. Matrimony (one verse by Kiel, one by Flip, one by inDEED)
7. Anointing of the Sick

8. The Saints (taken by Sammy Blaze, Just and Damien)
9. Mary / The Rosary (one verse by Miko, one by inDEED, one available)
10. Abortion (Just, Apollo and Krush?)
11. Sacredness of the Mass (one verse by Just, 2 remaining)

More possible topics:
12. Before Me (Miko solo)
13. Primacy of Peter (possible Just solo?)
14. The Trinity (one verse by Kiel, one verse by Apollo, 1 remaining)
15. The 4 Marks (possible Sammy solo?)
16. Covenant History (possible Kiel solo?)

That's about 16 tracks. I think that's good. We don't even need that many if peeps start slacking and can't get things finished. It'll be double packaged with a prayer CD lead by Fr Pontifex saying the Rosary. Possibly the Divine Mercy Chaplet as well (Remnant?).

So. Rappers. Please start to write some lyrics for the above topics. Not whole songs--just single verses. If you're really feeling the topic, then we may do a few solo songs--but no more than one per artist--I want most of these to be collabs.

FEEDBACK PLEASE!

For the one about Mary/the Rosary...you could start out with a Hail Mary, then have the music fade in...

All her Saints and all her children united by this chain;
A gloden cord for the Lord to unite the heart pierced by a sword. Not to say it, but to pray it with all the Angels and Saints, free from all taints, without any complaints.

that's all i have..

Hey, new to the game...is it o.k. if I try to come with some lyrics, or is it reserved for the dudes with the moves? Love to help out any way I can.

Here is a sample of some of my stuff...I have a ton of it laying around.
if you can use it-rock on!

The eucharistic meal / our daily bread.
waking each morning / to be spiritualy fed.
on the third day / he rose from the dead.
presenent in the eucharist / in this small piece of bread.

Healed through his presense / my spirit delivered.
His work is not transparent / look at this sinner.
His love is complete / we are all winners.
His offering complete / even for begginers.

Harmony of our heart’s / our souls are healed.
Wrote only for us / this Eucharistic meal.
Bonded in truth / my comfort be.
His body and Blood / sing praises to the king.

Oh An dI already finished my verse on "The Saints" It's about St. Charles Borromeo.

St.Charles Borromeo, the counter reformer, born at arona on the 2nd of october, 1538 to set the record straight, doctroate in canon law, defender of the faith, archbishop heroic during the plagues, he stayed sain, brought peace in the wake of the storm during the luther reforms, he founded schools for semanarians, and for the poor, hospitals for the sick and conducted synods, a living sign of God for when the times got hard, the heavens sent the apostle to the Council of Trent, pray for us, so we also represent like the best of God's men, Preaching, Holy, Apostolic, Truth, to the end, Everybody can I get an amen? The Saints are marching in, I said the Saints are marching in!!

By the way ya'll, I speeded the beat up to 90bpm, i hope thats not a problem.
