I'm not at home right now, I'm in South Texas. I prayed at the Basilica here for this week to be a strenghthening of my faith and maybe a renewal. Obviously the devil doesnt want that. I apologize for offending the Protestants on this board. I was very uncharitable and it was un-called for. The reason I say this now is because I listened to a beautiful message on EWTN about being Humble and Charitable. I fall short on that end. I'm a Christian I should not act that way and I'm sorry. I love Christ and I know he expects me to love you all. I'll be praying for ya'll. Please pray for me.

ack, you people! how am i supposed to feel good about myself when you are asking for forgiveness! I feel like i can learn so much from you people, and now yer making me feel bad! . . . of course this is a *good* thing . . . I really need to find some humility.

I think i had some a while back . . . hmmm . . . maybe i left it at my old house :o ;)

*scratches head and thinks* Yeah! I left it in my old room, in the bottom of the closet! :D

oh fine! when you get around to praying for everyone else, put me on the list too. :( :(

Don't let anyone get you down Just. The devil may be trying to mess things up, but God's plans for you are more powerful than that. We got lots of work to do--this battle is just beginning.

This is the holiest week of the year and the devil's busiest as well.

You just have to keep trying and praying.

The Litany of Humility is a good prayer for anybody who is lacking the same. Beware though...God will answer!
LITANY OF HUMILITY

(accustomed to be said after celebration of Mass,
by Merry Cardinal del Val, secretary of state to
Pope Saint Pius X)

(for private use only)

O Jesus, meek and humble of heart,
Hear me.

From the desire of being esteemed,
Deliver me, O Jesus.
From the desire of being loved,
Deliver me, O Jesus.
From the desire of being extolled,
Deliver me, O Jesus.
From the desire of being honored,
Deliver me, O Jesus.
From the desire of being praised,
Deliver me, O Jesus.
From the desire of being preferred to others,
Deliver me, O Jesus.
From the desire of being consulted,
Deliver me, O Jesus.
From the desire of being approved,
Deliver me, O Jesus.

From the fear of being humiliated,
Deliver me, O Jesus.
From the fear of being despised,
Deliver me, O Jesus.
From the fear of suffering rebukes,
Deliver me, O Jesus.
From the fear of being calumniated,
Deliver me, O Jesus.
From the fear of being forgotten,
Deliver me, O Jesus.
From the fear of being ridiculed,
Deliver me, O Jesus.
From the fear of being wronged,
Deliver me, O Jesus.
From the fear of being suspected,
Deliver me, O Jesus.

That others may be loved more than I,
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
That others may be esteemed more than I,
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
That, in the opinion of the world,
others may increase and I may decrease,
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
That others may be chosen and I set aside,
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
That others may be praised and I go unnoticed,
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
That others may be preferred to me in everything,
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
That others may become holier than I,
provided that I may become as holy as I should,
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
(Is my slang unfashionable? You all will have to help me, because the last time I had a command of hip hop slang was when Arsenio Hall was still on the air.)
