According to Wikipedia, "in 1977 Slipyj consecrated Ivan Choma, Stepan Czmil and Lubomyr Husar as bishops without approval of the pope"

Doesn't sound very saintly to me...

We're reading the same article, and right underneath it says that his cause for canonization has been introduced.

I would suggest that it's possible that he didn't obtain approval because of trouble with Soviet authorities. Also I'd keep in mind that Lubomyr Husar, one of the men that Slipyj consecrated, is now himself the major archbishop of Kyiv-Halychyna. In fact he was even considered papabile in 05.

Probably part of it was a misunderstanding between Latin and Eastern canon laws, since Eastern law did not require it, but Roman law did.

Yea, ironically enough I think I've restricted access to my photos so that Phatmassers can't see them.

If I have a phatmasser on my friends list they can see it... I think some of my albums are open to friends of friends, but none are open to everyone. I have blocked a few specific people from access to my profile and pictures because I don't feel like I want or need them to have access to my life.
