JimR-OCDS
I think it was St Augustine who said something like; there are those who finding themselves Catholic, remained so, because they found the teachings attractive, but they never became Christians. Then there are those, who after receiving faith in Jesus Christ, became Catholic. These are the ones saints are made of. It sounds like the friend found religion. Lets pray he finds Jesus Christ. [/quote] I think people have been too hard on him from the time he joined. He says things that make me squirm a little bit. But it's easy enough to give him the benefit of the doubt. For some rhyme or reason, Rexi has built up this reputation as an uncharitable super traditionalist. I've seen very little substance to back up that reputation. Traditional? Sure. Uncharitable? I see no reason to draw such a conclusion. Usually he only gets criticized for comments that he never actually made. Ad then people act all surprised like "Rexi!! You are the last person in the world I would expect to (fill in the blank). I'm shocked!!" And I'm thinking, "No way, you mean Rexi is different from what people think of him? I'm veeerrrrryyy surprised."
