Resurrexi
A month and a half ago he was planning on converting to Lutheranism. Then he decided to go atheist for a week. Now he's decided he accepts all the teachings of the Church, has gone to confession, and is reading a book by Pope Benedict XVI.

ChildoftheCreator
So, basically he's agnostic and doesn't know (ducks head before atheists can whack me for using the term agnostic.) I could hardly call that atheism or Lutheranism, or I would have belonged to a lot more religions in my life. I wish him best on his spiritual journey. I also think that this is why there's RCIA in the Catholic Church, so that people really know what they are getting into and they don't just enter on a fancy. I was just very blessed to have friends who prayed for me through my journey and encouraged me to find truth -- and who still pray for me today. Hopefully you can do that for your friend.
