Have I Mentioned I Hate Razors?

I really do... I was shaving my legs this morning and nicked my knee something awful. I think I took off a layer of skin. As soon as I did it, blood started running down my leg really quickly, so I had to grab some toilet paper and apply pressure to get the bleeding to stop. Then I put on a band-aid and soaked through that (it was a "water block" band-aid, too) and wouldn't stop, so I got some hydrogen peroxide and cleaned it out. It stung. :sadder: Then, even though it looked ridiculous, I had to apply a gauze strip and some tape to it for about 15 min so it would apply constant pressure (I was getting tired of holding it there). Finally, it stopped bleeding so much that I could apply a regular band-aid again. Geez, what a production for a little cut... Bled a lot though.

O razor of mine, why doth thou vex me so? <_<

You really need to buy the Intuition razor. There are only two cons - each cartridge only lasts 3-4 shaves, and it's expensive. Basically, you buy the razor, which comes with two cartridges, for around $8. Then when you're just buying the cartridges, it's 3 for about $9. But let me tell you, it'll take 60 seconds to shave your legs. And even though the cartridges run out quick (the soap/lotion, I mean) the razor is still good so you can use it with shaving cream. It'll take you longer to shave but it's still quick.

I hate it when the razor gets caught on my finger nail! Somehow that's worse than it getting caught on my skin... ugh... *shutters*

I remember in summer camp one year, my tent mate had only used electric razors, and we didn't have any outlets, so I let her borrow one of my regular razors. She had never used one, and didn't understand how much pressure to use, and took an inch wide strip of skin off the front of her leg. It looked like a potato peeler. It was wicked. She started screaming, and blood went everywhere. Our counselor came running over, and she started screaming too. It was like some kind of slasher movie. I remember talking to her a decade later, and she said she still had a scar from it, and has never used a regular razor again.

I decided a month ago that if I'm going to university, then I should darn well look the part.
To that end, I haven't shaved since then.

Although I'll admit, a good close shave is a nice feeling. :) I wish I had a straight blade. (and knew how to use it)

i'm with you brother... only I started shaving again a couple weeks ago cause i need a job. :(. I had shaved once in a year and a half before that... of course I trimmed my beard, but still. *sigh*.

He that hath a beard is more than a youth, and he that hath no beard is less than a man.
