Another Question About Brown Scapular

Thank you for answering my previous question. I had another question, however, pertaining to the blessing and enrollment in the Brown Scapular. When I bought my first scapular, I took it to my parish priest for a blessing, and he blessed it using a general prayer. Now that I have read up on websites about the scapular devotion, I'm seeing there is a prescribed enrollment prayer. Is my blessing invalid for enrollment? Is it necessary to have it properly enrolled in the confraternity? Or am I mistaken? My priest just said this:
I bless this scapular in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Here, however, is the prescribed blessing:
Receive this blessed habit; praying the most holy Virgin, than by Her merits thou may wear it without stain; and that She may guard thee from all evil and bring thee to life everlasting. R. Amen. By the power granted me, I admit thee to the participation of all the spiritual good works, which through the gracious help of Jesus Christ are performed by the religious of Mount Carmel. In the name of the Father, and the Son, + and of the Holy Spirit. R. Amen.

May the Creator of Heaven and earth, Almighty God, bless + thee; Who has deigned to unite thee to the confraternity of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel. We beseech Her, in the hour of thy death, to crush the head of the old serpent; so that thou may in the end win the everlasting palm and crown of the heavenly inheritance. Through Christ our Lord. R. Amen.
As you can tell, they are quite different. Your thoughts?

Normally the brown scapular comes in a small packet with the investiture prayers attached.

Any Catholic priest may invest a baptised Catholic with the Brown Scapular. The most recent Rite for the Blessing of and Enrolment in the Scapular, approved in 1996 by the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, is available in booklet form, the "Catechesis and Ritual for the Scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel", published in 2000 and distributed by ICS Publications. The rite can also be found on the website of the Carmelite Order.

The short form of the investiture is as follows:

Receive this Scapular, a sign of your special relationship with Mary, the Mother of Jesus, whom you pledge to imitate. May it be a reminder to you of your dignity as a Christian, in serving others and imitating Mary.
Wear it as a sign of her protection and of belonging to the Family of Carmel, voluntarily doing the will of God and devoting yourself to building a world true to his plan of community, justice and peace.

According to a 1996 doctrinal statement approved by the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, "Devotion to Our Lady of Mount Carmel is bound to the history and spiritual values of the Order of the Brothers of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel and is expressed through the scapular. Thus, whoever receives the scapular becomes a member of the order and pledges him/herself to live according to its spirituality in accordance with the characteristics of his/her state in life."

Maybe you could ask your priest to invest you with the above formula of words
