Anastasia13
My church uses little plastic cups at communion that get passed around. Afterwards they are thrown out. Would it be wrong or bad to not throw mine out but rather take it home with me?
Thy Geekdom Come
Your Church is in grave violation of the Catholic Church and should cease this practice immediately.

philothea
As your church does not have the Real Presence, I don't think it would matter much what you did with the cup. Unless there is some rule about it? In any case, it's your intention that matters. Why do you want to bring it home? (I'm not asking you to tell me, BTW.) I hope I didn't sound disrespectful of you or your church!

Brother Adam
Yes, she is Lutheran, and the Real Presence only lasts so long as the recepient is receiving communion and it is not a true real presance, but consubstantiation.
Anastasia13
So do you think there would be anything wrong or disrespectful if I did that?
Brother Adam
Well...its technically the organizations property until they throw it away, so maybe ask? Since it is just grape juice, I don't see why you couldn't.
