OnlySunshine
My mom bought mussels at the grocery store yesterday and cooked them for dinner. They had a weird smell when they were cooking, but we assumed everything was normal because they smelled fine afterward (and tasted OK, too). I woke up from sleep at about 1:30 with bad nausea and abdominal cramping which went on for about 3-4 hours then I got sick. I feel better now that the nausea mostly subsided, but I am still having cold chills and abdominal cramps. I already took Pepcid and an antiemetic but they aren't helping. Please pray this stops. From now on, I'm going to have to remember the advice, "Never eat seafood (specifically shellfish like oysters, clams, scallops, and mussels) during the months without an R." Food poisoning sucks. :(
